Carrie Underwood & Keith Urban Team Up on Idol Finale (Watch!)


Earlier this week, we reported that Carrie Underwood would be making a cameo on Keith Urban‘s forthcoming album, Ripcord. Giving fans a sneak peek at what an Urban/Underwood collaboration would sound like, the two American Idol stars graced the show’s finale stage for a rocking performance.

Performing Stevie Nicks‘ and Tom Petty‘s “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around,” the country music sensations shifted into high gear and turned the FOX show into a rock ‘n’ roll concert, complete with stellar vocals and Urban’s incomparable guitar playing skills. Of course, as they say, you can take the girl and guy out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the girl and guy. Regardless of how edgy the song was, there is no denying Urban and Underwood are front-runners in our genre first and foremost. Just listen to those rockin’ twangs!

Suspects surrender in Dave Brainard beating investigation

It’s been a little over a week since record producer Dave Brainard and a female friend were assaulted by a well-dressed, Infiniti-driving mystery couple as they tried to cross a Nashville street. The bad news is poor Brainard was left unconscious and required facial reconstruction surgery. The good news is the couple has now thankfully turned themselves in.
