Tristan McIntosh Finds Her Niche On “American Idol” (Watch!)


Tristan McIntosh won over the American Idol audience with her first audition in front of the panel of celebrity judges. All it took was Tristan, a piano, and the stunning lyrics of Mickey Guyton’s “Why Baby Why” to make her a fast favorite, even earning her comparisons to Alicia Keys.

Though Tristan has hit a few stumbling blocks over the last few weeks, trying to dabble slightly outside the box that America was served up as a beautifully wrapped gift upon meeting her, last night we witnessed redemption. Performing Vince Gill‘s emotional “Go Rest High On That Mountain“, Tristan, again with just a piano and stunning lyrics, reminded America why she received a golden ticket to Hollywood and is still in the running to be crowned the series’ final champion.
