The Band Perry and Big Machine Label Group Have Parted Ways

Speculation has run rampant for months regarding the state of the Band Perry’s relationship with Big Machine Label Group, including a lengthy post right here on this site.

Now, the news we’ve been expecting has been made official, the singing siblings have parted ways with the label.

“The Big Machine Label Group and The Band Perry have amicably parted ways,” a rep said in a statement.

The trio also announced the news on their Facebook page, writing:

We and Big Machine Label Group have made a mutual decision to bring our working relationship to a close. We are grateful for 6 years of the big moments and great strides we made with our BMLG family and will carry that foundation forward with us as we begin the next leg of our journey.

We can’t say we’re surprised, but we hope that the Band Perry find a new musical home…and return to the sound that made them famous in the first place. Less yellow living forever, more dying young and pioneering, please.
