Maren Morris Announces Release of Full Length Album

If there ever was good news on a Monday morning, it came today in the form of a Maren Morris album announcement. The NashvilleGab artist to gab about and highly acclaimed rising star surprised fans today with a date for her upcoming release, Hero, and a full track list.

June 3rd is the date to mark on your calendars, and the album sounds to be one of inspiration, wisdom, and sarcasm, based on the tracks listed on this morning’s social media posts. Maren explained on Instagram that Hero:

really encapsulates everything that’s been bouncing around my head for the past 3 years. It’s woven with every thread of my influences, which pulls from the country and R&B landscapes. To borrow a line from one of my most introspective songs, “I’m not the hero in this story,” which I wasn’t… but that was then. I am the hero in THIS story, and it’s taken a long road to be able to say that. Who I am as an artist, a songwriter and a woman today has been carefully shaped over time on my journey from Texas to Tennessee. They say never meet your heroes, but what if you just became your own?

It’s words like the final sentence of this statement that prove this artist is one of the more special additions to the industry as of late, and we cannot wait to get our hands on Hero!

The full track list of Hero is as follows:

My Church
I Could Use a Love Song
80’s Mercedes
Drunk Girls Don’t Cry
How It’s Done
Just Another Thing
I Wish I Was
Second Wind
