Kelsea Ballerini Join’s Mary Kay’s Efforts to End Abuse

Mary Kay is calling dibs on Kelsea Ballerini‘s support for its Global Day of Beauty. Together, Mary Kay and Ballerini will bring awareness to dating violence, an epidemic that affects one in three young people today, using the Number 1 artist’s influential voice to educate teens and young adults on relationships, signs of abuse, and support services.

The Global Day of Beauty, a day of pampering to celebrate survivors, is part of Mary Kay’s Don’t Look Away campaign, a platform that has offered those in need an innovative “text for help” service, lending anonymous advice to thousands every year. Ballerini shared her excitement about joining forces with the cosmetic brand to make a difference in many people’s lives.

The fact that one in three young people today are impacted by dating violence is a scary statistic. I’m excited to join forces with Mary Kay for this event to help draw awareness to this issue. By partnering with Mary Kay’s Don’t Look Away program, I truly hope to help empower women and remind them of their beauty and self-worth.

The Vice President of Corporate Communications of Corporate Social Responsibility for Mary Kay Inc., Crayton Webb, is confident that working with Ballerini will increase the reach of awareness in our society.

By joining forces with Kelsea, our collective dating violence outreach efforts will touch thousands of teens and young adults. As a corporate leader in helping to prevent and end violence against women, we know that educating young people about heathy relationships can prevent abuse before it begins. We are proud that Kelsea will join Mary Kay in encouraging her fans to seek healthy relationships and, if needed, take advantage of resources such as the loveisrespect text-for-help service.
