I’m not sure what part of that title is more surprising … that Keith Urban played guitar for Reese Witherspoon or that Witherspoon is forty years old. How can that even be?

Over the weekend, the Academy Award winner (Walk the Line) celebrated the big 4-0, and she certainly did it in style. In attendance at the birthday bash was also Taylor Swift, who reportedly sang “Shake It Off“. However, Swift wasn’t the only one who sang at the party…

Making a play on her romantic comedy, Sweet Home Alabama, the birthday girl decided to sing the song of the same name for her guests, inviting the guitar hero himself, Keith Urban, to the stage to accompany her. Fashion writer Derek Blasberg was present at the Los Angeles shindig and shared a video on his Instagram, which can be seen below.

Happy Birthday to Reese Witherspoon! Here’s to hoping that I could ever look half as good as you do at any age!
