Keith Urban’s New Album to Feature Pitbull?!

It was only a matter of time before Pitbull wriggled his hips into the country genre, and it looks like it’s finally happening. Mr. 305 will join Mr. Keith Urban on “Sun Don’t Let Me Down,” a track from his forthcoming album Ripcord. The album is due out May 6.

Urban opened up about the track to Rolling Stone, saying “In the end of the first verse, it actually references my wife. She’s in a movie called To Die For and in one scene she’s dancing in front of the headlights. So the lyric goes: ‘There in the headlights, dancing like she’s in a movie scene. To die for, and she’s killing me.'”

The track is a new direction for Urban, pairing him with Nile Rodgers and producer Mike Busbee, in addition to Pitbull. Of the rapper, Urban says, “He brings a mischievous, sexy swagger to it, in a very different way.”

The rest of the album is said to be true to Keith’s typical style and we hope that’s the case, as we’re definitely not looking for Urban to go urban.
