When it comes to the legacy of American Idol, two names will forever stand out as the most successful stars from the show: Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.
Now, as the show heads into it’s final weeks, Idol has announced that its two biggest stars will return to the stage that built them during the April 7th series finale.
While rumors point to a pre-taped performance from Clarkson due to the fact that she’s about to give birth any day now, both she and Underwood will appear on the Idol stage one last time. Clarkson most recently appeared as a guest judge and performer earlier this season with an intensely emotional and viral performance of her current Top-10 single “Piece by Piece.”
In addition to Clarkson and Underwood, some of our other country Idol favorites will return for the April 7th finale, including Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, Kellie Pickler, Bucky Covington, Josh Gracin, Danny Gokey, and more.
