The Battles continued last night on NBC’s The Voice, and Nashville’s own Adam Wakefield entered the ring for Team Blake [Shelton]. Facing off against Missouri man Jared Harder, Adam had a tall order in front of him, considering Jared’s broad range and soulful sound.

Adam took his place at the keyboard while Jared strummed the guitar, and the two Team Blake members perfectly complemented one another and crooned the words to the Marshall Tucker Band’s “Can’t You See”. Though both artists are beautiful vocalists and made Blake’s job much harder, the other three coaches had a clear cut winner in mind throughout the entire performance.

With each whispering praise about Adam, there was no doubt who Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams, and Christina Aguilera would recommend to Blake as he made his final choice. Ultimately, Blake agreed with his constituents and kept Adam Wakefield as a part of Team Blake, while Jared Harder bid his farewell to The Voice.
