More about Jo Dee Messina
With twenty years under her belt as a bonafide country music sensation, Jo Dee Messina is currently working on her second album under her own record label, Dreambound. Jo Dee blasted on to the scene in 1996 with her debut single “Heads Carolina, Tails California“; however, it was her next efforts that made her a household name. Her sophomore album, I’m Alright, yielded three Number 1 hits, sold over two million copies, and led to her ACM and CMA Award wins. Her next platinum-selling album, Burn, set fire to the album chart and burned its way up to the top, giving Jo Dee her first Number 1 album. Burn also garnered two Number 1 hit songs and provided the singer with two Grammy nominations. Several years later, proving this artist is the epitome of “staying power”, Jo Dee released Delicious Surprise and experienced another taste of success at the top of the album chart. “My Give a Damn’s Busted” became Jo Dee’s sixth Number 1 single and remains an anthem today, eleven years after its initial release. In 2010, Jo Dee released the last of her albums under a major label, a trilogy of EPs entitled Unmistakable (Love, Drive, and Inspiration). When Jo Dee left her label, she looked to her fans for unwavering support, and, of course, she received it. She ran one of the most successful music Kickstarter campaigns in history and, thereby, released her first album as an independent artist, Me. The album showed a renewed Jo Dee who was daring to take a chance, travel the path of most resistance, and shed the weight that tied her down as a major label artist. Since Jo Dee’s rise to fame, she has set the bar, raised the bar, and is, bar none, one of the most recognizable names in the industry.
More about Jessica Lynn
Jessica Lynn is “not your [average] woman” in country music, as she lives in the great state of New York. That doesn’t keep the spunky rising star from traveling the United States and (soon-to-be) overseas to share her music with the world. Oftentimes being compared to the fabulous Shania Twain, Jessica has paved her own path so far and shows no signs of slowing down. In 2014 and 2015, Jessica starred in two full-length television specials, This Much Fun – Live from the Winery at St. George and Jessica Lynn – Takin’ Over – Live from The Paramount Theater. Both specials aired nationwide on PBS, sending Jessica into the homes of country music lovers across the country and placing her in the hearts of many. With unparalleled dedication and determination, Jessica has played festivals alongside artists such as: Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw, The Band Perry, Thompson Square, Sammy Kershaw, Clint Black, Montgomery Gentry, and Phil Vassar. She is also no stranger to opening for Jo Dee Messina, as the two embarked on a west coast tour together last year. Jessica is currently working on her debut EP, which will feature her current single, “Not Your Woman“.
More about You Must Love Dogs Fest
Started by Kris Rotonda, Founder and CEO of YouMustLoveDogsDating.com, the festival is one of many projects Kris and his wife, Denise, have worked on together. The launch of the dating website led to a dog-specific cooking show on YouTube and the creation of the “PupPot”, a place to prepare meals, snacks, and treats for man’s best friend. In an effort to increase the reach of the You Must Love Dogs brand, Kris teamed up with many local and national businesses and put together the You Must Love Dogs Fest, benefiting the SPCA Florida. Kris intends for the Tampa event to be the first of many festivals of its kind, hoping to expand his efforts to different locations in his home state of Florida and other country music-savvy cities across America.
