There wasn’t a dry eye in the house during Kelly Clarkson’s return to American Idol last night. While the singer tackled her song “Piece by Piece,” (watch here!) there was one person who was moved beyond words: Keith Urban.
Keith spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the performance and his moving man tears. While Clarkson blamed her emotions on her pregnancy hormones, she wasn’t the only one. “I was starting to wonder if maybe I was [pregnant] too,” Keith joked.
“The song, it’s insane. I figure you’re either crying at this performance or you need to check your pulse,” Urban said to ET. “It’s an amazing song.”
“The humanity in that moment was just [incredible],” Urban continues about the emotional performance. “You never see that, let alone on TV, so I was so grateful to be there to witness it.”
We love a man who isn’t afraid to show his emotions, but man, when Keith cries, we all cry.
