Carrie Underwood Covers Dolly Parton … And WOW! (Watch!)

What happens when two of country music’s most celebrated women merge for one performance? An absolutely magical moment for the lucky fans in the audience.

Carrie Underwood recently paid homage to one of her idols, Dolly Parton, during her Storyteller Tour. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania crowd was the fortunate chosen one as the stunning vocalist undertook the tall task of recreating Dolly’s “I Will Always Love You” on the stage before it.

The results of Carrie’s cover were every bit as remarkable as one would expect, as it was met with screams throughout, supportive cheers, and anticipatory silence as the well-known “mother notes” drew near. With a combination of Carrie’s flawless appearance, pristine voice, and passionate respect for Dolly’s masterpiece, the Storyteller Tour show goers were gifted with a moment in time many can only dream about experiencing.

Several other people and I were in DC for meetings, etc.and went to Carrie’s concert last night. Carrie’s vocals and delivery of Dolly’s song was chilling and breathtakingly beautiful. She did Dolly proud. Who knew Carrie could play a mean harmonica. That was another treat. Carrie’s stage is huge and she covers every inch of it. There are no bad seats at all as she makes sure everyone is included in her concerts as she commands the stage and holds the audience in her hand the entire concert. It is amazing and even though she was fighting a cold and congestion it was not noticeable in her vocals. She is simply amazing live. Her concert is a must see. The warm up performers, The Swon Brothers and Easton Corbet put on a good show also but everyone was anxiously waiting for Carrie and she did not disappoint.

Carrie can bring ANY musical genre to its knees…
