Tyler Farr Cancels Upcoming Tour Dates Due to Vocal Rest

Looks like it’ll be a few months before Tyler Farr is allowed to go “Redneck Crazy” on stage again. The singer will undergo microlaryngeal surgery to remove a polyp from his vocal cords and then go on voice rest.

He took to Twitter to share the news with his fans:

“I know what it takes to get out there and really deliver,” Farr continues. “I hate cancelling shows, especially the upcoming tour with my buddy Lee Brice, but I never want to give the fans less than everything… And I know the sooner I let my body heal, the sooner I can get back out there – and the fewer problems I will have in the long run. To me, it’s never about the next few days, but doing the right thing overall, and now I’m under doctor’s orders.”

While Tyler will definitely be missed from Lee’s tour, the “I Drive Your Truck” singer has tapped replacement acts Maddie & Tae, Clare Dunn and Jerrod Niemann to fill in for Tyler as he recovers.

Get well soon Tyler…and lay off the whiskey in your water for awhile.
