We recently shared a new Miranda Lambert song, “Sweet By and By“, that will appear on a country music collaboration album, Southern Family. The track listing for that album was shared today, along with news that the project will be released on March 18th.
Joining Miranda as members of the Southern Family are CMA Award winner Chris Stapleton (and Morgane Stapleton), Grammy Award winner Brandy Clark, boyfriend Anderson East, and many more. According to WSIX, producer Dave Cobb is excited about this collection of music, believing that Nashville has become a major authority in music.
There’s something to it. There’s something in the air. There’s a lot of great things about Nashville. There’s something here that doesn’t exist anywhere else in my lifetime. I’m sure this happened in London in the ‘60s and California in the ‘70s and maybe New York in the late ’50s or early ‘60s. But I think, right now, Nashville is the home of music.
The Southern Family track list is as follows:
“Simple Song” — John Paul White
“God Is a Working Man” — Jason Isbell
“Down Home” — Brent Cobb
“Sweet By and By” — Miranda Lambert
“You Are My Sunshine” — Morgane Stapleton with Chris Stapleton
“Grandma’s Garden” — Zac Brown
“Momma’s Table” — Jamey Johnson
“Learning” — Anderson East
“Settle Down” — Holly Williams
“I Cried” — Brandy Clark
“Can You Come Over?” — Shooter Jennings
“The Way Home” — Rich Robinson (featuring The Settles Connection)
