Merle-Haggard

We are sad to report that Merle Haggard has fallen ill, forcing him to cancel two New Mexico shows this weekend. Tickets for shows at the Inn of the Mountain Gods (January 30th) and Farmington Civic Center (January 31st) will be fully refunded to purchasers, according to the venue’s Facebook page.

MERLE HAGGARD SHOW CANCELED DUE TO HEALTH ISSUES: Citing health reasons, Merle Haggard has cancelled his January 30 show at Inn of the Mountain Gods.

The 78-year-old legend canceled a string of shows in early December after checking himself into a California hospital for what turned out to be double pneumonia.

Full refunds will be provided at point of purchase.

Ben Haggard, Merle’s son and lead guitarist, explained that this weekend’s shows were canceled due to double pneumonia.

In December, the country music legend also canceled shows after checking himself into the hospital with the same illness that kept him in the hospital for two weeks. We certainly hope that Merle gets well soon and can continue doing what he loves and performing for his fans!
