Lauren Alaina released her EP and single, “Next Boyfriend“, several months ago, providing fans with a matured and diverse sound from the now twenty-one year-old spitfire with the enormous pipes. This morning, Lauren released her “Next Boyfriend”, and the production adequately captures two very different sides of the feisty female powerhouse.
Lauren, a down home girl who you feel could be your next best friend, channels her girl next door persona, as well as a sexy, flirty one, all for the greater good of reeling in a guy she has her eye on from across the way. Taking place outside in a street dancing and skating atmosphere, Lauren gazes toward the other side of the gathering and notices a man who looks a lot like her next boyfriend (though, we tend to think he looks a lot like her current boyfriend, Alex Hopkins…). The outdoor scenes are interchangeable with sexy performance shots of Lauren in a black cutout dress, singing about the guy who has caught her attention, giving fans a taste at the young artist’s tremendous personality.

She’s a cutie. Not a bad song at all, not a lot of variety to it lyric wise, but I’m glad to hear a young girl actually sing instead of do that robot rapping sounding garbage that seems to be the rage right now.
Her voice is SO darn good! We love her here!
