Jennifer Nettles & Sara Bareilles Duet on “She Used to Be Mine”

In April, the musical Waitress will come to Broadway, with the music written by Sara Bareilles. Last night, the powerhouse singer joined Jennifer Nettles on stage at New York City’s Beacon Theater at a stop on CMT’s Next Women of Country Tour. The pair joined forces for a chill-inducing performance of a song from the show, “She Used to Be Mine.”

While I didn’t think anyone could possibly rival Bareilles’s version, the slow-burner of a ballad is the perfect song for Nettles to shine, and as a duet, it’s purely magical.
