Craig Strickland Found Dead

NashvilleGab would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the friends and family of Backroad Anthem’s lead singer, Craig Strickland, who was found dead today in Oklahoma.

According to 40/29 News, a search crew recovered Strickland’s body Monday along the shoreline of Kaw Lake, north of where his boat capsized. Strickland went missing on December 27, and his friend Chase Morland’s body was discovered the following day.

The pair sadly disappeared during a duck hunting trip, and Strickland’s family, friends and wife have kept fans informed of the search efforts.

Craig’s wife, Helen Strickland, took to Twitter to share the devastating news.

She also shared more information on her Instagram.

Craig was found today. We can finally rest knowing that he is at Home in Heaven with his Father. The night of the accident he had fought his way out of the water and up a hill before the stages of hypothermia set in. He experienced no pain in his final moments and simply felt like he was falling asleep. They found him lying in the shape of a cross looking up to his Father. Thank you to every single person who prayed for him and our family during this time. There was not a more peaceful way for him to go into the arms of our Lord, and I know your prayers had a role in making that happen. I know he saw Jesus at that moment when he laid down and walked arm in arm with Him into a better Everlasting Life. I love you with all my heart Craig Michael. #craigstrickland

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Backroad Anthem, Helen Strickland and all friends and family of both Craig and Chase in this difficult time.

The Miranda Lambert vs Christina Aguilera feud gets shut down before it gets good….killjoys

Remember back in the day when our only true social media was Maury Povich, Jerry Springer, or the Today Show? There was no DVR and most of us couldn’t program our VCRs so we’d gather around our TVs to check out the latest guests who were going to duke it out or at least give a severe verbal beatdown.

If we were lucky the guests were celebrities and we got to witness firsthand that celebs were just like us and got into arguments and fights just like “real people.”

Oh those were the days.
