The Band Perry’s new album ‘Heart + Beat’ delayed until 2016

Well here’s some disappointing news for The Band Perry fans.

The group was all set to release their new first new album in two years, ‘Heart + Beat’, on November 20, but have now decided to delay the project until sometime in 2016.

The sibling trio spoke with’s Mark Payton earlier this month and revealed that the decision comes because of a “very exciting collaboration” they want to include in the album.

“Well we actually had a date chosen, and then we had a very exciting collaboration that just happened,” Kimberly Perry said  (quote via Saving Country Music). “So we kind of got this last jolt of creative energy, so we feel like we’re going to push it back a little bit further to early 2016.”

It’s understandable to be excited about a big collaboration, but to delay an album so close to it’s release date because of it? Odd.

Update: Okay, someone pointed out on Twitter that Adele’s new album ’25’ is being released November 20. Yeah, that is probably the best reason in the world to choose a different day to release your album because there is nobody in the world who is going to beat that Adele.
