Shania Twain’s tour bus sells for big money at Halloween auction

Shania Twain auction

Story updated below

Shania Twain put the final nail in her touring career coffin with the sale of her tour bus just four days after finishing up her Rock This Country Tour.

The Marathon Entertainer model Prevost tour bus was built in 1999 and cost more than a million bucks at the time. During the Toronto Classic Car Auction at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario on Saturday, it sold for a cool $219,800.

Shania announced back in March that this tour would be her last.  “This is a very, very important time on the road for me,” Twain said at the time. “I just feel like I’m ready to hang my hat up in that regard. I just really want to go out with a bang.”

I don’t know if she went out with a bang, but she did go out a couple hundred thousand dollars richer.

You can see some pictures from inside her bus in this video.

UPDATE: I’ve just been informed that Shania’s bus didn’t actually sell at the auction. Maybe the final bid wasn’t quite enough, not quite sure. Anyway, sorry for the confusion.
