Hillary Scott to Fly Solo on Gospel Project… Kind of.

While everyone knows that Lady Antebellum’s leading man, Charles Kelley, is releasing a solo project on the heels of his amazing first single “The Driver,” it turns out he’s not the only group member doing their own thing musically.

While Hillary Scott has been teasing something music-related on social media (in between tons of adorable pics of Eisele), fans were left wondering what the news might be. Today, the Tennessean confirmed that Scott has an album in the works with her family.

For those who aren’t familiar, Scott’s mom is Linda Davis, best-known for her role of the other woman in Reba’s “Does He Love You?”. Additionally, her father, musician Lang Scott, and her younger sister, Rylee Jean, will join in on the project.

“As parents, it’s so fun to be able to be involved in a project with both of our children,” said Davis to the Tennessean. “It’s a dream we didn’t even know to dream about that’s fallen into place.”

The album won’t be a traditional country album, however, but instead, a Gospel offering. “It’s sort of a nice combination of past, current and maybe what will last long after we’re gone,” Davis said. “That’s our hope.”

Lady A needs to understand repetitive music can only last so long. There is no excitement or adventure. Evolvement of music means just that; stagnation is the result.
