Looks like Nickelodeon might want to invest in some 90 proof green slime because Blake Shelton is heading their way.
On Sunday, Blake began teasing on Twitter that he had an unbelievable announcement coming. Despite people guessing the normal new album, tour details, wedding, pregnancy, etc., Blake said nobody would ever guess because it was just that unbelievable.
And boy was he right.
On Monday, the singer stopped by the Today Show to reveal to Hoda and Kathie Lee his “insane” new hosting gig: Nickelodeon’s 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards.
“My agent called and was like, ‘Man, you know, is there anything that you can think of that you’d want to do?’ … and I actually had been thinking, ‘I want to host those Kids’ Choice Awards!’ … And she was like, ‘Uh, OK …'” he told the 10 o’clock hour Today Show hosts.
So why would a grown man want to host a kids’ award show?
One word: Slime!
“I want to get slimed!” he said.
It should definitely be a fun show.
The Kids’ Choice Awards will air live on Saturday, March 12, 2016, on Nickelodeon.
