Willie Nelson Postpones Shows Due to Illness

Willie Nelson is hitting the road with Merle Haggard on the Django and Jimmie Tour beginning this Fall and heading into 2016. However, the legendary singer who is “always on my mind” announced the postponement of the first three shows due to a medical issue.

Willie’s rep explained:

I have no additional details but it is only the first three dates. The rest of the tour is on schedule.

The Florence Civic Center in Florence, South Carolina, where the country music icons were scheduled to kick off the tour, provided additional information.

This is all news to us at the moment and we’re still getting details on Willie’s medical concern. We’ve been told this is not life-threatening, but will require several weeks to fully recover. We will keep you updated as more information comes to light. We know this is last-minute and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience, but our hearts and best wishes go to Willie Nelson and his family during this time of health concern. Get well soon Willie, we can’t wait to see you in April alongside Merle Haggard.

Shows in Roanke, Virginia at the Berglund Center Coliseum on October 16th and Reading, Pennsylvania at Santander Arena on October 17th have also been posptoned. The October 21st show in Bloomington, Indiana is still scheduled to take place. Fans who already bought tickets to the Django and Jimmie Tour postponed shows will have their tickets honored for the rescheduled dates in April.
