Congratulations to Taylor Swift for earning her SEVENTH Songwriter/Artist of the Year Award at the 45th annual Nashville Songwriters Association International Awards gala dinner that took place on Sunday at the Music City Center.
The association (NSAI) is the world’s largest not-for-profit songwriters trade association, helping promote the creative minds of musicians everywhere as well as encouraging an energetic, unified environment in our music industry, helping protect the rights of its aspiring and professional songwriters and artists. NSAI holds a Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala annually to recognize the year’s most popular songs written by Nashville songwriters.
Swift set a new record to the category of Songwriter/Artist of the Year. What’s new? However, she was not in attendance due to still being on her 1989 World Tour, but in lieu, she did send in a video acceptance speech.
Swift said, “There’s really no community that I respect or admire more than the songwriting community.” We hear you there, Taylor! Kudos on showing appreciation for the community of people who work hard behind the scenes on the world’s most popular songs today.
“I wouldn’t be where I was as an artist or a writer without the songwriters who taught me what it is to work hard.”
Inspiring and beautiful. Keep it up, Swift! We’re behind you all the way, and congrats on placing a new record for your SEVENTH award, well deserved!
