Listen to Kelly Clarkson’s Newest Duet

When it comes to duet partners, there are few who can elevate a song the way Kelly Clarkson can. If you don’t believe us, feel free to ask Jason Aldean, Reba, Martina McBride, Jewel, Trisha Yearwood or any of the other superstars who have had Clarkson guest on one of their projects.

Today, however, a new song called “Second Hand Heart” hit the interwebs featuring Clarkson and a lesser-known name, Ben Haenow. If you’re like me, you’re probably saying “Ben Hae-who?” Apparently, this chap won X Factor in the UK last year, was taken under Simon Cowell’s wing and is all kinds of adorable. Incredibly, for his FIRST single, he’s managed to score a Kelly Clarkson duet, and although the song isn’t country, it definitely has an infectiously rootsy-folksy, uptempo feel that we’re TOTALLY okay with.

Kelly, we’re ANXIOUSLY awaiting your first full-fledged country project. In fact, we think it would be a perfect thing to busy yourself with while you take a break from touring and prepare for baby numero dos. In the meantime, however, we’ll take any new music we can get, so thanks for this track that has already made my Friday better.
