When it comes to knowing how to treat his fans, there’s no one better than Luke Bryan. Before we tell you this story, we need to warn you to grab the tissues.
Luke recently learned of a young fan, 5-year-old Lila May Schow who was suffering from neuroblastoma since age 2. Unfortunately, the tiny fighter lost her battle on Saturday, but not before receiving a very special phone call.
Lila only had a few wishes before her passing, including a princess party and a trip to Hawaii, both of which were granted. One of her other wishes was to dance on stage with Luke Bryan. When Luke learned of this, he did everything he could to make her dreams come true. “Luke personally called Lila and talked to her and her family,” Jenny Brown-Lorenzen tells PEOPLE. “They were so very impressed.”
Bryan also recorded a sweet video message for her and arranged for her family to get VIP tickets to an upcoming show. “Luke was also going to have Lila sing her favorite song, ‘That’s My Kind of Night’ with him on stage,” Lorenzen said. “It would have been priceless. Lila’s family was so touched by Luke’s genuine support and compassion,” she continued. “It meant so much to them.”
Our thoughts and prayers are with Lila’s family during this difficult time.
