So Long, Farewell to Kenny Rogers

Country music icon Kenny Rogers visited The Today Show this morning to share some exciting and surprising news with NBC’s Savannah Guthrie and Carson Daly. During his time with the morning news show, Kenny announced a 2016 world tour — which will be his last.

Kenny told Today that his seventy-sixth album is on the brink and that to commemorate his fifty-seven year career, he will be traveling to give his fans a proper farewell as the Gambler bids adieu to the industry. He also promised the television anchors that his final show will be right back where he made the announcement — on NBC’s Today.

Well, Kenny, I remember when you sang with The Scholars; what a wonderful quartet. Never heard you sing solo so I was surprised when you became part of the Fifth Dimension. What a wonderful surprise. Still remember when y’all performed at the Shamrock. I remember my date and I let you out in the early hours of the morning at your house in Houston. Hope you can enjoy the rest of your life being with your family-have some fun.
    Best wishes,
