The Wait for New Music from Garth Brooks Just Got Even Longer

2012 Country Music Hall Of Fame Inductees Announcement

If you’re anxiously awaiting new music from Garth Brooks, it looks like the wait just got even longer…and there’s a moral to this story: Back up your phone.

Speaking to Milwaukee’s Journal Sentinel, Garth opened up about his new music that is now MIA. “Here’s where the old guy gets into technology, which is bad,” Brooks says. “All the new stuff which I’ve been working on for six months is on a phone that’s been fried, and I can’t get the phone to come back up.”

Additionally, it looks like Santa won’t be delivering a Christmas duets album this year from Garth and wife Trisha Yearwood. Although the pair is working on one, according to Yearwood, it won’t be done in time for a 2015 release.

Sigh…for Christmas this year, we hope Garth gets a backup hard drive.
