Watch out Sam Hunt, Carrie Underwood just performed at the most successful “house party” of all time.
The singer donated her time on Saturday to perform a house concert for MusiCares, which raised more than $146,000 for charity. The event was held at the Brentwood estate of jeweler-to-the-stars, Johnathon Arndt and his partner Newman Arndt. The Proceeds benefited the Recording Academy’s charity that provides financial support to members of the music community in need.
The event was entirely underwritten by the Arndts, allowing all money raised to go to MusiCares. “We want to try and make this an annual or a semi-annual event,” Johnathon Arndt said to the Tennessean. “We said, ‘We’ll take care of everything. You enjoy the sales of the tickets.’ We truly believe in giving back to the community and giving back to the organization 100 percent.”
