All signs point to yes … and we are THRILLED about it!
Michael Ray‘s “Kiss You in the Morning” (Justin Wilson and Michael White) has been sitting on the charts since February 2015, at the point of its release, and has shown no signs of slowing down. Climbing steadily from its debut at Number 54 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, the single has been a silent killer of those likewise working their ways up toward the top, passing others on by without much buzz.
Until now, that is.
Currently sitting at the Number 2 spot, just below Luke Bryan‘s “Kick the Dust Up,” Michael Ray’s “Kiss You in the Morning” is still experiencing an increase in spins, leading the NashvilleGab team to predict that it will overtake Luke’s single (especially considering Luke is now pushing another new track, “Kill the Lights“). This would mark Michael’s very first chart-topping hit, setting the tone for what we have known for years would be a career filled with successes and major milestones.
Keep your eyes on the charts, folks. We may be witnessing history in this young artist’s career any time now, and we can’t wait to celebrate that moment for Michael, the brilliant songwriters behind “Kiss You in the Morning,” and the entire Warner Music Nashville team!
