Maddie & Tae Celebrate Platinum Single!

Maddie & Tae’s Start Here album release party was an event to be remembered, as the adorable duo entertained the crowd with some of their humorous and beautiful tracks off their debut full-length album. However, it wasn’t just the seamless harmonies, excited faces, and celebrity cameo that made the night spectacular; it was a monumental surprise for the girls that made the event even more unforgettable.

As Maddie & Tae wrapped up their set, which included a duet with Lee Ann Womack, the girls were presented with RIAA platinum certification plaques for their first single, “Girl In a Country Song.” Having sold one million copies of the track, the girls earned an honor that few are able to achieve in a day and age of undervalued music and overindulgent technological advancements that have allowed for free downloads.

Congratulations to Maddie & Tae for such an esteemed accomplishment! We have no doubt this will be the first of many landmark moments in their young careers.
