Stoney Creek Records (Broken Bow Records) artist Lindsay Ell is perhaps best known in the industry for her incredible guitar-playing ability and bluesy voice that lend to create a unique acoustic sound like no other. While Lindsay has been mostly working behind-the-scenes developing new music throughout 2015, the highly respected, multi-faceted singer-songwriter-musician has made sure to continue to engage fans and keep them on the edges of their seats, waiting on what’s next for the Canadian turned Nashvillian.
Knowing that her fans have a tremendous appreciation for musicality, Lindsay recently took a hit dance track, The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face,” stripped it down to her acoustic style, and created a brand new song that bears no similarities to the original, other than in lyric. Taking a fun song that has the whole country bringing back the Jersey Shore fist pump and incorporating vulnerability to a track where it didn’t seem possible, Lindsay’s interpretation of “Can’t Feel My Face” becomes a soft, moving track with complex guitar chords that will, once again, prove the untouchable talent this rising star possesses.
