Tonight, Big Machine Label Group held an album release party for the Number 1 hit-making duet Maddie & Tae, whose debut offering, Start Here, is due out on August 28th. The private event included a presentation by Big Machine CEO Scott Borchetta, a performance of several album cuts by Maddie & Tae, and a surprise duet with country superstar Lee Ann Womack.

During the set, Maddie began telling the audience that she remembers hearing the song “I Hope You Dance” when she was five years old and that it was a song that truly touched her. The two girls in a country song couldn’t contain their excitement as they explained that the party was about to become even more amazing than it had already been, and then proceeded to welcome Lee Ann Womack to the stage.

Together, the three talented women performed Lee Ann’s hit song “A Little Past Little Rock,” with Lee Ann sitting between the evening’s honorees, even taking a moment upon the completion of the performance to share her thoughts and belief in Maddie & Tae’s position in the industry. If the tracks they have introduced into country music haven’t already been enough to prove the duo’s staying power, their adorable personalities, undeniable chemistry, and stunning harmonies will solidify their long-term home in Nashville and on the charts.

Sure as long as you suck up to the politically correct echelon of country music and stay between the lines musically. God forbid they allow to release a song in the vein of Le Ann!
