Country Stars Launch New Initiative to Chat LIVE with Fans


Yesterday was another historical day in the marriage of country music and technology. Luke Bryan and Jake Owen each participated in the launch of Live for Facebook Mentions, during which the superstars broadcasted to their fan bases and communicated with them in real time. Immediately following the live streams, the videos became posts on the artists’ respective Facebook pages.

During Luke Bryan’s Live for Facebook Mentions session, he promoted the release of his new single, “Kill the Lights,” and also launched another new song, “To the Moon and Back.” Jake Owen also participated on the new platform late last night to connect with the night owls in his fan base.

Lynn Anderson passes away: A longer bio for those interested

As I mentioned earlier, Lynn Anderson passed away last night at the age of 67. Despite being saddened by her death, I’m really not very good at summing up people’s lives in a tidy little package.
