Clint Black Is Back … With a Purpose

Clint Black

He’s back and he’s “a better man” than ever. Clint Black announced today that his twelfth studio album, On Purpose, will be released under record label Thirty Tigers on September 25th, marking the celebrated icon’s first new album in ten years.

What is Clint sharing about On Purpose so far?

We know that the album contains fourteen tracks and was produced by Clint himself in his Nashville recording studio. The offering will consist of a myriad of beats and tempos, ranging from ballads to upbeat songs and touching on everything in between. On Purpose will also feature Lisa Hartman Black, who will join her husband for the couple’s third duet, “You Still Get to Me.”

In discussing his first album in a decade, the decorated artist explained:

It represents my attitude towards life, in that it’s never easy to “go your own way,” but the rewards are greater when you follow your heart. I know that’s what my fans expect from me, and I hope that they hear that in the songs on this album. Musically, On Purpose is right where I want to be. I pushed myself hard for this album, doing more of the guitar work, even playing slide guitar for the first time.

We can’t wait to have new Clint Black music in our hands! What are you most looking forward to on Clint’s On Purpose?
