“Girl Crush” Crushes Billboard Record

Last week we reported that we were eagerly anticipating Little Big Town making and breaking history on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. This week, we can officially announce that the wait is over and history has been made in the country music genre!

The reigning ACM Group of the Year has now topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for eleven consecutive weeks, breaking the 1959 record set by The Browns’ (“The Three Bells”). While holding the Number 1 spot on the Hot Country Songs chart, Little Big Town is also Number 1 on the Nielsen SoundScan Digital Country Songs chart for the third straight week (eleven overall). The download sales are approaching 1.4 million, making the track the most downloaded country music single in 2015.
