Dierks Bentley and Friends Crash Canaan Smith’s Set to Celebrate

With a group like Dierks Bentley, Kip Moore, Canaan Smith, and Maddie & Tae, there is no doubt the Sounds of Summer Tour is filled with sounds of fun and laughter. And, as everybody knows, tour fun includes elusive surprise pranking — which Dierks and company were able to achieve this past weekend.

In a backstage video, tour headliner, Dierks Bentley, explained:

Canaan Smith today has his first No. 1 ever with ‘Love You Like That. We’re gonna go run across the stage and have a little fun at his expense. It’s so great, the fact that he has his very first No. 1.

And, just like that, Canaan’s tourmates bombarded him on stage, clad in white jumpsuits with “#1” written all over them. Excited by the crowd that formed on stage, Canaan welcomed the stage crashers with open arms.

The on-stage party isn’t the end of Canaan’s celebration of his first ever Number 1 hit. The chart-topping Mercury Nashville artist explained in a Radio.com interview that he made a deal with the head of promotion at his label, in the event his song rose to the top of the charts. Canaan stated:

He was wanting to buy a Jeep. I said, “Why don’t you wait? And if ‘Love You Like That’ goes No. 1, you buy the Jeep and I’ll trick it out.”

Needless to say, somebody is bringing home some snazzy wheels in the very near future.

Congratulations to Canaan Smith on “Love You Like That” claiming the Number 1 spot on the charts!
