What Do Carrie Underwood, Wiz Khalifa, and Charlie Puth Have in Common?

If you answered “nothing,” you would have been right until most recently. However, that all changed when Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth collaborated to record and release one of Top 40 radio’s most moving songs of 2015, “See You Again.” As you likely know, Carrie Underwood has a song of the same name from her Blown Away album.

That’s right. The ever-so-popular six degrees of separation (or Kevin Bacon) strikes again.

At the Big Barrel Country Music Festival in Dover, Delaware over the weekend, Carrie recognized the like-named tune, creating an unexpected, albeit spectacular, mashup of the two “See You Again” tracks. When Carrie segued from her own hit song to the hip-hop worldwide chart-topper, the crowd immediately responded with cheers of approval, singing along to the powerful ballad.

Then … she rapped.
