Miranda Lambert Surprises Chicago Fans

2015 Stagecoach California's Country Music Festival - Day 2

This isn’t the first time Miranda Lambert has performed a pop-up show, and knowing how much this artist loves to take center stage and perform for her legion of fans, we are sure it isn’t the last. We just hope it is the last time we are on the outside looking in!

Miranda joined Kenny Chesney at Chicago’s Soldier Field last night, but the female superstar arrived in town early for a practice run. When artists are in Chicago, there is only one place to hit the stage for an intimate event, and that is Joe’s Bar on Weed St. Miranda got that memo, as she brought her band and her crew’s own band Permnent Damage (*correct spelling*) on stage to help her throw the best surprise party possible.

To announce the concert, Miranda hit Twitter with information of a show:

The three-hour pop-up show’s set list included covers of songs by Guns ‘N’ Roses, the B-52s, the Violent Femmes, AC/DC, No Doubt, and Brooks & Dunn. Joe’s Bar reported that approximately 700 fans came for the last minute exciting entertainment.

Were you at the surprise show? We would love to see your photos! Tweet us @NashvilleGab so we can live vicariously through you!
