Lee Brice‘s I Don’t Dance album has yielded great success on the charts. The album itself peaked at Number 1, while singles “I Don’t Dance” and “Drinking Class” climbed to Number 1 and Number 2, respectively. The project is packed with single contenders, but one that immediately stood out to fans nationwide was the varying tempoed “That Don’t Sound Like You.”
The track that focuses on an old love who has been changed by her current relationship, “That Don’t Sound Like You” leads a listener to believe at first listen that a ballad is before him/her. However, as the chorus approaches, the music bursts from the speakers, taking the tempo from slow and steady to explosive country rock. With its substantial change in melody and the emotional lyrics throughout the tune, the song was created for radio.
The third single from the chart-topping I Don’t Dance now has a beautiful music video to accompany it, showing Lee crooning on a beach as the sun peeks over the horizon. As he sings of his concern for the woman he once knew, memories flash through his head of the person he loved in his past. Though the two never connect in the music video, the lyrics tell the story of an out of the blue call that worried Lee and made him remember all of his former love’s wonderful attributes.
The artistic video was directed by Ryan Smith and released by Lee’s label Curb Records. Watch Lee Brice’s video for “That Don’t Sound Like You” by clicking the link below:
