What Has Kelsea Ballerini Crying?

Kelsea Ballerini image

As we reported earlier this week, Kelsea Ballerini currently has the Number 1 song in country music with her debut single “Love Me Like You Mean It.” When Kelsea found out about her chart position, she was on a conference call with executives from her record label, Black River Entertainment, and she couldn’t help but cry tears of joy over the big news. Black River caught the moment on video to share with the world (see below).

Of course, seeing Kelsea’s humble and genuine response to the phone call makes this video meaningful in itself. However, because she is one of the kindest and most gracious artists you will find, Kelsea made it a point to say several times “we did it,” ensuring that the team around her receives accolades for the tremendous feat, as well.

Also of note is that Gordon Kerr, CEO of Black River, pointed out that Kelsea is only the eleventh female in the history of country music to experience a Number 1 debut single. The bullet points on this young artist’s resume continue to multiply, and deservingly so.

Watch Kelsea react to the big news of her Number 1 single in this authentic and emotional video shared by her record label:
