Eric Church Takes No BS

It’s Father’s Day and we can all likely attribute some of our qualities — the good and the bad — to the men who had a hand in giving us the gift of life. Eric Church certainly tips his baseball cap to his dad, telling that genetics played a role in the man he is today.

My dad is … I’m trying to find the right words to describe him. My dad is a great guy, honest guy, very call-it-like-he-sees-it, which is where I get a lot of that. No BS. I’m gonna tell you how I feel — whether you like it or not. I’m that guy, I’m me. My dad’s that way, so I get a lot of that from him. There’s also an honesty and an integrity that my dad carries himself with that I’ve always admired.

Those who have congregated to support Church and sing him praise as members of his very own “choir” appreciate these characteristics in the artist who stands out from all others, both professionally and personally. Knowing that the valuable lessons he learned from his father are serving him well in all facets of life, Church now has the opportunity to bestow the same in his young sons, Boone and “Hawk”; and if they are anything like their daddy, we are looking at the future of country music mega-stardom!
