Carrie Underwood: From “Mama’s Song” to a Mama’s Song

New mom Carrie Underwood made her post-baby big stage return during CMA Fest week, playing to a packed LP Field in Nashville, Tennessee. However, that doesn’t mean that the gorgeous mother with some of the best pipes to ever be gifted to a human being was taking it easy career-wise. Instead, Carrie (with baby Isaiah Michael Fisher in tow) was working hard in the studio, preparing new music for eagerly awaiting fans.

In the past, Carrie has released songs about her family, specifically one to her own mother about her husband, Mike Fisher. “Mama’s Song” was a promise to her mom that the man in her heart would care for her and protect her, just the way a parent would want for his/her child. With her new role in life, Carrie has gone from writing “Mama’s Song” to writing a mama’s song, with the subject matter being her precious bundle of joy.

Carrie told Taste of Country “I’d be very willing to put money that it will be on [the new album].”

We can’t wait to hear what Carrie has been working on, especially after getting a taste of her reemergence at LP Field this past weekend. What are you most looking forward to with Carrie Underwood’s forthcoming project? Let us know by commenting here or tweeting us @NashvilleGab!
