Is this a New Brett Eldredge Song Off “Illinois”?

Ah Internet, I have a love-hate relationship with album leaks. On one hand, I can’t NOT listen, but on the other, I miss the excitement of listening to a new album in full.

Based on the tracklist for his forthcoming sophomore album, Illinois, “Fire” is the album’s first cut. While Brett has been performing it in his live show for months, this is the first time a studio version has popped up, and like the title would suggest, it’s hot, hot, hot!

According to @Windmillsmusic, the track was written by Brett, Jon Nite and Ross Copperman. The album isn’t due out until September 11, 2015, and we’ll be anxiously awaiting it. In the meantime, take a listen to “Fire”!
