Forget SaladGate! How About FriendGate?

With the country music world all abuzz about “SaladGate,” there is something incredibly important that has gone unmentioned as of late — the beautiful friendships this genre has created.

NashvilleGab is proudly working in association with AT&T Uverse and Country Deep TV this week at CMA Music Fest (“CMA Fest”), and we are honored and privileged to spend time covering the wonderful artists at the Showcase Stage at Fan Fair X. Aside from the brilliant talent we saw on the first day of Uverse CMA Fest, we noticed something rather phenomenal – artists supporting fellow artists.

On just Day 1 of CMA Fest, we saw four artists standing in the AT&T Uverse Showcase Stage crowd, sharing their love for country music and their peers in the most public of forums.

Sarah Darling came to see Rachele Lynae, an artist with whom she shares management. While speaking to Sarah, she very kindly and simply stated she was there to show a fellow female artist support.

Warner Music Nashville recording artist Michael Ray was spotted supporting not one, but two, acts on the Showcase Stage — Ryan Kinder and Love and Theft. Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson even jokingly sang a line from Michael’s current single “Kiss You in the Morning” to salute their friend.

Brandon and Jamelle Fraley of Two Story Road tweeted to fans to come to the AT&T Uverse Showcase Stage to watch their friend Elizabeth Huett this afternoon. Roadies showed up in packs to check out the gorgeous artist that Two Story Road came to see.

At today’s final show at the Showcase Stage at Fan Fair X, Skylar Laine (American Idol) stood in a huge audience to see Craig Campbell close out the day. She chose a great artist to come out and enjoy, as his Q&A and set were hilarious and impeccable.

Who will we spot in the Uverse CMA Fest crowds tomorrow? Follow us on Twitter @NashvilleGab and keep checking here to find out!
