The Chula Vista, California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control was hard at work on Saturday night, June 7th, when Brad Paisley, Justin Moore, and Mickey Guyton rolled into town for the Crushin’ It World Tour. Tailgaters arrived at the Sleep Train Amphitheater, never expecting that crushin’ beers in the parking lot would lead to a newsworthy event.
Police officers swept the tailgate area, arresting eighty-five people, ranging in age from seventeen to twenty, for possession of alcohol as a minor. Four adults were also arrested for supplying the alcohol to the minors, while an additional two people were taken in for displaying false identification.
Each of the arrestees was released, but not before being charged with misdemeanors, pending court dates. The anticipated punishments for these individuals include fines and community service.
A mugshot, criminal record, and court subpoena rest high on the “souvenirs you don’t want from a concert” list. Be safe and smart out there, country music fans.
