I love it when tips from readers turn out to be true.

On Thursday night, I wrote about how I had been tipped off about Randy Houser getting engaged to the sister-in-law of singer-songwriter Dallas Davidson.

On Friday, People.com confirmed the rumor.

The “Like a Cowboy” singer, 39, is engaged to Tatiana Starzynski, 21, his rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.

The pair met earlier this year through friends: The Australian bride-to-be is the sister-in-law of Houser’s songwriting buddy Dallas Davidson.

The happy news might comes as a surprise to fans, as the couple have kept their relationship low-profile to give his family – specifically son West, 3 – a chance to get to know her.

It would be nice if once in a while these artists’ reps would confirm the news exclusively to the blog that actually breaks the story, but whatcha gonna do?

According to People, there aren’t any wedding details available just yet, but the couple are working on the details as we speak.

Much joy and happiness to Randy and his new love.
