Canaan Smith’s self-titled debut EP has only been available for five weeks, but his team have already announced that his full-length debut album will hit stores on June 23rd (exactly three months after the EP). Titled ‘Bronco’, Canaan explains, “’Bronco’ is a song I wrote in honor of my brother who I lost when I was young. Songs like this are important to me because though fads come and go, stories last forever,” he muses wisely. “He was my hero and I wanted to put out something in memory of him. I think it symbolizes his wild spirit and I’m really proud of it.”

In addition to new tracks, ‘Bronco’ will feature the five songs available on the EP, with the final tracklisting to be announced soon. Lead single ‘Love You Like That’ is currently top 20 at radio and still rising, having sold over 360,000 copies so far, while Canaan is fresh off the Dan + Shay Where It All Began tour and is about to head out with Dierks Bentley on the Sounds of Summer tour. In fact, he’s on track to play over 175 shows this year alone, including the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage at CMA Fest in June. Not bad for a brand new act, eh?

You can pre-order the album here (comes with an autographed booklet for a limited time only!) and get more info on Canaan, including upcoming tour dates, here.
