Sam Hunt’s University of Alabama Birmingham football playing days taught the ‘Take Your Time’ singer a lot of lessons that have helped him out in his country music career.
He told Birmingham magazine, “I don’t think I’m conscious of most of the things I’ve drawn from football, because they’re so ingrained in me now … understanding the discipline and the routine and the regimentation to be successful. I was able to really see that connection as a football player where success requires a lot of hard work and effort, physically and mentally.”
You know that actually makes a ton of sense. Those are all things that can help someone in any aspect of life really.
