Woman singing Carrie Underwood suddenly snaps … what is wrong with people?

Terrible video

When I originally started watching this video that WMZQ dug up, I thought it was going to just be another video of someone getting caught doing something cool or funny or stupid or whatever, especially since at the beginning of the video the lady is singing Carrie Underwood's Blown Away.

Unfortunately that's not what this ended up being.

The crazy ass woman starts out singing a boring rendition of Blown Away, but the video quickly escalates and turns into one of the saddest things I've seen in a long time.

And I watch a lot of sad things.

The video was originally posted to Facebook:

I found this video on my son's I pad that was obviously recorded by his mother. I apologize for the horrible singing, but watch and listen after the 1 minute mark. You will hear her smacking my son and her other son, and the God awful things she screams at my poor son. My son watched this with me and he was terrified his mother would find out I watched this and that he would be hit again. He said she hits him when she is mad. Nobody's kid deserves this. I took this to court today, and once again our wonderful Kitsap County judges did NOTHING. They basically told me too bad. If this was a female complaining about the father, the father would be arrested. I am so so so so sad for my son. Please watch this and share this. I want this to go viral. I want the news sources to find out about this. I want to change the discrimination against men in Kitsap County. We are supposed to be equal, but if you are the man and you have a concern for your child, good luck getting them to do anything about it! PLEASE SHARE!!!!

What is wrong with the court system that this woman wasn't immediately thrown in jail? Or lose custody. Or be ordered to counseling. Something. Anything. Disciplining is one thing, this is something entirely different.

So, so sad and hard to wrap my brain around.

And before anyone decides to defend this woman as being stressed out or whatever, watch the video again and imagine that's your kid or your grandkid or even your future grandkid's father.

Here's the video.
